Senior Shawn O'Brien earned three Top 5 finishes at Saturday's J. Fred Duckett Rice Twilight. He finished third overall in the javelin with a toss of 49.40m/162-1.0, then had back-to-back fifth place finishes in the high jump (1.76m/5-9.25) and 110m hurdles (14.65). The Rio Hondo, Texas, native set a new PR in the hurdles while he missed matching his PR in the high jump by .01m. O'Brien had his best mark in the long jump in three years as he finished 10th overall with a 6.47m/21-2.75 mark.
