Senior first baseman Johnny Gonzales extended his hitting streak to six games with a monster week. The Frisco, Texas, native hit .733 (11-for-15) with two doubles, a home run, four walks, four RBIs and five runs. His three-run homer in Sunday's 10-8 victory over Ball State capped a nine-run, fourth-inning rally that he started when he singled and scored. For his efforts, Gonzales was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week.
