Senior forward Monet Neal scored a season-high 19 points as HBU defeated Texas Southern for the first time since 2009 and the first time ever on TSU’s home floor. Prior to that, she had an 18-point, 17-rebound game against Trinity, as she set a new career high with four blocked shots. Neal shot 47 percent from the floor and went 9-for-10 from the charity stripe. She averaged 18.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game as the Huskies went 2-0 on the week. For her efforts, she earned Southland Conference Player of the Week honors. Neal has scored in double figures in three of the last four games.
