Senior catcher Samm Wiggins went 4-for-7 (.571) with an RBI in Baseball's first appearance in the NCAA Division I Regional. In Friday's opener against regional host - and 13th ranked - Houston, he went 2-for-4 and recorded the first RBI in the program's regionals history, as he gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead in the first inning. He went 2-for-3 Sunday against 19th-ranked Rice. For his efforts, he was named to the Houston Regional All-Tournament Team. Wiggins ended the season on an eight-game hitting streak and reached base safely in the final 21 games of the campaign.
