Junior second baseman Nathan Soriano extended his hitting streak to seven games by hitting safely in all four games this week, leading the Huskies to a 3-1 record. The Tucson, Arizona, native hit .571, going 8-for-14 with a double, a triple, five RBIs, scored six times and was 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts. In Tuesday’s win over Prairie View A&M, he went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, scored three times and stole two bases. In Friday’s 10-2 win over Northwestern State, Soriano went 1-for-4 with a walk, stole a base and scored a run. In Saturday’s 12-2 victory, he went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and scored, then went 1-for-3 with an RBI triple and scored a run Sunday.
