Stiefel came on in relief against UTSA with runners on first and second and nobody out, getting out of the jam only giving up a sacrifice fly. She went on to pitch four hitless innings as the Huskies snapped UTSA's eight-game winning streak over HBU, 3-2, on Apr. 4. The only strikeouts for the Huskies in the game came at an opportune time, as Stiefel struck out the first two batters in the top of the seventh. She took the loss in game one at Sam Houston State, allowing just two earned runs, but the Huskies were held to just three hits. On the week, Stiefel had a 1.40 ERA and had the only four strikeouts the Husky hurlers had. On the season, she leads the pitching staff with a 1.91 ERA with nine complete games and is second with 33 strikeouts.
