Junior Scott Boon claimed the gold medal in the decathlon at the Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday in Humble. The Dronten, The Netherlands, native broke the school record with 7,602 points, setting new personal records in the 110-meter hurdles, the javelin and the 1,500 meters.
