2021 (Senior): Third Team All-Southland Conference…Second Team Academic All-SLC…made 15 starts while appearing in 17 matches...enjoyed a two-assist performance in HBU’s 7-0 win over Nicholls (9/19)…finished the season with two assists…played a full 110 minutes on two occasions…fifth on the team with 1,445 minutes played…attempted three shots on the year.

2020-21 (Junior): Appeared in all 15 games while making 13 starts…started in goal for the Huskies at Rice (3/25) for the first time in her career, recording six saves…placed two of her five shot attempts on goal…played a total of 1,187 minutes for the season.

2019 (Sophomore): Started 11 matches while appearing in 14 on the year...spent 940 minutes on the pitch and played full-time on two occasions…attempted nine shots on the season with two of those on goal.

2018 (Freshman): Appeared in and started all 19 games in her first year…notched a pair of goals on the season with both coming in back-to-back games, first in a 3-0 win over Stephen F. Austin (9/21) then in a 1-1 tie with Sam Houston State (9/23)…earned SLC Offensive Player of the Week honors following her two-goal weekend…totaled five points (2 goals, 1 assist) for the year thanks to an assist against Houston (8/17)…attempted 16 shots with eight of those on goal…her 1,697 total minutes played were fourth-most on the team.

High School: Four-year starter for coach Kara Stracener at Johnson High School…helped lead her team to the state regional semifinals as a senior…three-time All-Region selection and earned All-District honors all four years…named team captain as a senior…named her school’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2016-17…played club soccer for coach Owen Collie with Classics Elite 99G ECNL…reached nationals in both 2016 and 2017 with her club team…also played basketball in high school.

Personal: Full name is Talin Rae Rizo…born December 31, 1999 in El Paso…daughter of Fernando Rizo and Veronica Wong-Rizo…has two brothers, Caden and Ian…mother, Veronica, played basketball at Northeastern Junior College and Metropolitan State College of Denver…majoring in biology.
