2022 (Senior): Avila started 10 matches while appearing in 14…played at least 90 minutes on four occasions…attempted three shots with one on goal…totaled 907 minutes on the pitch…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2021 (Junior): Appeared in all 19 games and made 18 starts…played the third-most minutes on the team, logging 1,525 minutes of game action…played at least 90 minutes on six occasions and set a new career-high with 104 minutes played at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9/10)…attempted 11 shots on the year with three of those on goal.

2020-21 (Sophomore): Started six matches while appearing in seven…finished with one goal and one assist, both of which came in the same game at Nicholls (4/3), assisting on the game-winner and doubling the HBU lead with her goal…played a total of 483 minutes…played a season-high 101 minute to close the season at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/9)...finished with five shots on goal out of seven total attempts.

2019 (Freshman): Played in 17 of the team’s matches while making 12 starts after being pressed into duty to help on the Huskies’ back line…totaled 1,186 minutes on the pitch…played the full match on seven occasions.

High School: Four-year letterwinner and starter for coach Amanda Hall at Denton Guyer High School…four-time First Team All-District selection…also earned Academic All-District honors…also ran cross country and track, qualifying for postseason meets in both…played club soccer for D’Feeters ECNL Composite and coach Hugh Bradford.

Personal: Full name is Lauren Julia Avila…born January 19, 2001 in El Paso…daughter of Nick and Melissa Avila…has one sister, Merissa, and one brother, Chris…majoring in kinesiology.
