Biography
Junior (2017-18): Appeared in 27 games with six starts…shot 46.5 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line…averaged 6.1 points, a team leading 5.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 15.5 minutes a contest…shot for double-figures in 6 games and rebounded double-figures in six games…registered four double-doubles…went 9-of-11 (.818) from the field to score a career high 18 points, brought down 11 boards and had three blocks…shot 7-of-11 (.636) from the floor and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 boards…awarded Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Sophomore (2016-17): Earned Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll…appeared in 26 games with 9 starts… shot 53.3 percent behind the line, 37.1 percent from the floor, averaged 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 points per game… pulled down a season high of 12 rebounds and scored 9 points against Rice (11/19)…at SHSU (1/2) went 80 percent (4-5) from the floor, pulled down seven rebounds and scored eight points… had six rebounds, two assists, six blocks, and scored nine points at home against SELU (1/5.
Freshman (2015-16): Kirienko appeared in 17 games, averaging 5.1 minutes, 1.0 point and 1.4 rebounds, with four blocked shots…scored a season-high five points in the Huskies’ double-overtime loss to Lamar in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament (3/10)…grabbed a season-high four rebounds at UTSA (11/29).
High School: Played for the National Team of Uzbekistan under head coaches Stepan Stepanovich Lebedev and Vladimir Vasilevich Arefev...During the FIBA Asia Championships in 2013, Kirienko averaging 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, despite being one of the youngest competitors in the tournament at only 17 years old...was also a member of the senior national team in 2012, and the Under-16 national team in 2011, averaging 11 points and 12 rebounds per game during the Asian Championships...named MVP in 2013-14...competed in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
