Prior to HBU: Played freshman season at Florida A&M University for coach LeDawn Gibson…appeared in 30 games, including nine starts, averaging 10.4 minutes per game… averaged 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game, while recording 19 steals…scored a career-high 10 points against Morgan State on Jan. 9 and had a career-high six rebounds against Delaware State on Jan. 28.

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner at Lakeridge High School under head coach Stephani Gray…leading the Lady Eagles in both scoring and rebounding, while also being named defensive player of the year… received Academic all-district honors…played club for Texas Dream Team for coach Vance Hughes.

Personal: Full name is Kennedy Celeste Burks …born July 22, 1998, in Little Rock, Arkansas …daughter of Zach and Connie Burks…has two brothers: Zachary and Logan Burks… Father played basketball for University of Central Arkansas and overseas…majoring in pre-med. Her father, Zach, played at Central Arkansas from 1987-91 and is a member of the Bears' Hall of Fame as the 10^th-leading scorer in school history with 1,447 points. He also played professionally overseas.
