2013-14 (Freshman): Chukwujekwu (CHOO-kwoo-jay-kwoo) appeared in 24 games, including six starts…averaged 3.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, while adding 23 assists and 12 steals…scored a season-high 12 points, pulled down eight rebounds and recorded three assists against Southeastern Louisiana (1/25)…posted season-highs of 11 rebounds and four assists in a win over Northwestern State (1/11).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston for coaches Wayne Jones and Dominic Amoros…as a senior, averaged 14.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the Crusaders…was named team captain, earned first-team all-district and district offensive player of the year honors, as well as Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region and Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star honors…earned all-tournament recognition at the McDonald’s Invitational, Westlake Winter Basketball Classic and Knights of Columbus Tournament…as a junior, earned second-team all-district honors and was honorable mention as a sophomore…played club basketball for Houston Force and Houston Lynx, earning all-tournament honors at the Gym Rat NYC Challenge…off the court, was the treasurer of the Black Student Union, was a member of the National Honor Society and made the 3.35 GPA or above honor roll on every report card.
