Previous Schools: Munton began his collegiate career at Texas State, before playing at Northeast Texas. Hit .260 with a .400 on-base percentage, three home runs and 14 doubles in 2021. Was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Wylie High School for coach Clay Martin. Won back-to-back 4A state championships in 2016 and 2017. For his career, hit .383 with 58 extra-base hits and 125 RBIs. As a senior, hit .342 and earned all-district honors. As a junior, hit .412 with 22 extra-base hits and set a new single-season school record with 50 RBIs to earn district offensive MVP. Was an Under Armour Preseason All-American, was the No. 4-ranked catcher in Texas by Prep Baseball Report and was named to the Texas USA Baseball Team for a second time. Hit .340 as a sophomore with 11 extra-base hits and 38 RBIs. Was named to the Texas 4A All-State Tournament Team. Also played football, helping Wylie to a state 4A final appearance in 2017. Father, Dan, played baseball at Hardin Simmons.
