2018 (Junior): Franzman made 10 appearances, including three starts…had a 0-0 record with a 5.29 ERA, 13 strikeouts and 12 walks in 17.0 innings…threw two shutout innings and struck out three in his first career appearance at Fresno State (2/24)…tossed 1.1 shutout innings at Texas A&M (2/27)…allowed two runs and struck out three in 3.2 innings in his start against McNeese (5/1)…made one start in the Southland Conference Tournament, allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts in a 4-3, 12-inning victory over New Orleans (5/25).
 
Previous School: Played two seasons at Golden West College for coach Bert Villareal…as a sophomore, made 16 appearances, including 14 starts, going 5-8 with a 3.60 ERA, a save, 45 strikeouts and 25 walks in 90.0 innings….as a freshman, made 13 appearances, with three starts, going 4-0 with a 4.09 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 33.0 innings.
 
High School: Was a three-year letterwinner at Pacifica High School for coach Mike Caira…helped lead his team to the Division 2 championship as a sophomore.
 
Personal: Full name is Taylor Brendan Franzman…born Aug. 16, 1996, in Irvine, California…son of Randy and Deborah Franzman…has one brother, Austin…majoring in kinesiology/wellness management.
