2017 (Junior): Herron made three appearances…tossed one shutout inning against Texas Southern (4/5)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
2016 (Sophomore): Missed the entire season with an injury.
 
Previous School: Played one season at Cisco Junior College for Coach David White...made 15 appearances on the mound, going 0-2 with a 3.75 ERA, 17 stikeouts and 7 walks in 24.0 innings…made the Dean’s List.
 
High School: Was a four-year starter at Waxahachie High School for Coach Tracy Wood…earned second-team all-district honors.
 
Personal: Full name is Leland Marshall Herron...born June 3, 1995, in Dallas, Texas…son of Leland and Cindy Herron…has two sisters, Stephanie Smith, and Miranda Herron…majoring in psychology.
