2016 (Junior): Van Marter appeared in 41 games, including 31 starts, 27 in centefield and four in rightfield...hit .206 with four doubles, two home runs, a triple, 14 RBIs and 10 runs…went 2-for-4 against Washington State (2/26)…went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run against UT Rio Grande Valley (2/27)…went 2-for-3 against Utah (3/5)…recorded two RBIs at McNeese (3/12)…went 3-for-5 with two home runs, two RBIs and five runs at Prairie View A&M (4/26)…went 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (5/13)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
Previous School: Played two seasons at Cypress College in Cypress, California, for Coach Scott Pickler…as a sophomore, hit .264 with four doubles, 15 RBIs and 18 runs…as a freshman, hit .286 with three doubles, one home run, eight RBIs and 11 runs.
 
High School: Was a two-year letterwinner at Canyon High School in Anaheim, California, for Coach Joe Hoggatt…named MVP in 2012 and 2013.
