Previous School: Baker played one season at Angelina Junior College for coach Jeff Livin…named second-team all-conference at shortstop, hitting .360 with three home runs, 24 RBIs and 16 stolen bases…made the Dean’s List and President’s List with a 3.9 GPA.
 
High School: Was a two-yeqr letterwinner at Katy High School for coach Tom McPherson…as a senior, hit .460, which ranks 11th all-time in Tigers’ history…earned first-team all-district honors at third base…named second-team academic all-state and the honor roll with a 4.2 GPA…also won a state championship in football.
 
Personal: Full name is Hayden David Baker…born Sept. 11, 1997, in Katy, Texas…son of Bruce and Terrie Baker…has one sister, Riley…majoring in business management.
