2017 (Freshman): Simon appeared in 14 games, including three starts at third base…hit .176 with a double, a home run, five RBIs and three runs in 17 at-bats…first career hit was a three-run double against LIU Brooklyn (3/4)…hit a two-run home run against Central Arkansas (4/9).
 
High School: Was a four-year starter at Brazosport Christian School for coach Kirk Jones...as a senior, hit .522 with 14 doubles, three home runs and a triple...as a junior, hit .671 with 19 doubles, five home runs and three triples…as a sophomore, hit .558 with 12 doubles, a home run, a triple and 28 RBIs...on the mound, for his career, went 12-3 with a 1.78 ERA, 127 strikeouts and 33 walks in 102.0 innings…as a junior, was named the 2015 TAPPS 2A Male Athlete of the Year…helped lead the Eagles to the 2014 state title…was a two-time all-state selection…earned all-district honors three times…was team offensive MVP twice…earned the Gold Glove Award at shortstop on the Babe Ruth All-World Series defensive team as a freshman…named Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament at the Babe Ruth State Championship…as a junior, was a first-team all-state and first-team all-district selection in basketball…earned all-state honorable mention and first-team all-district honors as a sophomore…also ran track...posted a 3.6 GPA in AP classes…earned academic all-state honors in baseball, basketball and track…member of the National Honor Society.
