2020: Murphy made seven appearances out of the bullpen, going 1-0 with a 3.94 ERA, eight strikeouts and 11 walks in 16.0 innings…allowed one run on three hits with two strikeouts and a walk in five innings of relief against #21 Texas A&M (2/25)…earned his first career win, allowing one earned run and striking out four in four innings in the season finale against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/10)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Spring Academic Honor Roll.
 
Previous School: Murphy played two seasons at Angelina College…appeared in 45 games, hitting .307 with three doubles, three home runs, 27 RBIs and 24 runs as a freshman…as a sophomore, hit .185 with three doubles, 14 RBIs and 25 runs.

High School: Played at Lufkin High School…named third-team all-state…was an HABCA Senior All-Star and Rotary Youth Leadership Association selection…older brother of freshman pitcher Cy Murphy.
