2015 (Junior): Bloodworth appeared in 22 games, after redshirting at HBU in 2014…hit .364 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases…went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run in the series finale against Prairie View A&M (2/15)…recorded a pinch-hit double against Arkansas State (2/28).
 
Previous School: Shortstop at Wharton County Junior College under Coach Javier Solis…had .254 batting average and .333 on-base percentage with five doubles and 13 RBIs…was on the Dean’s List…member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society…Region XIV Athletic Conference All-Academic Team…played one season at Lon Morris College under Coach Chase Tidwell…batted .305 with a .444 on-base percentage…was named the Dean’s List…redshirted his freshman year at Oklahoma State University in 2011…was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership Organization.
 
High School: Was a four-year letter winner under Coach Jay Higgins at Lake Highlands High School…was a three-year all-district infielder, two-year all-city infielder, 2010 District 9 defensive player of the year, 2010 all-city most outstanding defensive player, 2011 academic all-state, 2011 perfect game pre-season all-region team…was selected the 2011 Lake Highlands “On Field” varsity captain and was named Lake Highlands Baseball Mr. Hustle in 2010 and 2011.
 
Personal: Full name is David Anderson Bloodworth…born Oct. 21, 1992 in Dallas …son of Thom and Debra Bloodworth…has one older brother, J.T., and one older sister, Erin…brother, J.T., played baseball at the University of Arizona in 2004-2005, and at Dallas Baptist in 2006-2007…he is currently an assistant coach at the University of California at San Diego…father, Thom, played basketball and baseball at Phillips University from 1972-1975…majoring in kinesiology.
