2019: Collins received a medical redshirt after appearing in six games out of the bullpen…went 1-0 with a 12.71 ERA, five strikeouts and eight walks in 5.2 innings…allowed one run and struck out two in two innings to earn the win against Prairie View A&M (3/12)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Previous School: Played two seasons at Blinn College for coach Harvey McIntyre…as a sophomore, made 11 appearances, posting a 2-0 record, 3.86 ERA, 12 strikeouts and six walks in 14.0 innings…as a freshman, made 15 appearances, going 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA, 18 strikeouts and 19 walks in 20.0 innings…played for the Brazos Valley Bombers in the Texas Collegiate League, going 1-0 with a 0.84 ERA, 19 strikeouts and 10 walks in 21.1 innings to earn All-Star honors.

High School: Played at James Earl Rudder High School for coach Matt Harbin…also played football…graduated in the top five percent of his class with a 3.936 GPA.

Personal: Full name is Cody Allen Collins…born June 24, 1998, in Houston…son of Ronnie and Amanda Collins…has one sister, Tessa…majoring in kinesiology/sports management.
