Jason LaRocque

Jason LaRocque is in his first season as Volunteer Assistant Coach with the HBU baseball program.

He was most recently head coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State. LaRocque coached the Baldwin City Blues in the Mid-Plains League, where he earned 2016 East Coach of the Year and coached the East Division All-Stars. He was also the assistant coach, recruiting coordinator and pitching coach at Ottawa University in Kansas, helping the Braves’ pitching staff set the school single-season records in both strikeouts and saves.

An Austin native, LaRocque also coached at the University of Illinois Springfield, Austin College, Menlo College and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

LaRocque earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2011 and a Master of Business Administration from Ottawa in 2016. He was an infielder at Briar Cliff in 2008 and 2009.
