2014 (Junior): Vaughn appeared in 36 games and made 20 starts...hit .250 with a triple, eight RBIs, 10 runs and four stolen bases…went 2-for-4 against Kansas (3/1)…went 4-for-6 with an RBI and scored twice at Nicholls (3/15)…went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs at Lamar (5/4).
 
Previous School: Was an all-conference selection as a freshman for Coach Scott Harp at North Central Texas College…selected to the Texas/New Mexico All-Star Team…named academic all-conference…batted .366 his freshman year along with an on-base percentage of .418…batted .342 with nine RBIs and 35 runs.
 
High School: Was a four-year letter winner for coaches Kevin Baker and Jamie Crocker at Manvel High School…batted .423 as a senior, along with a .526 on-base percentage, 13 RBIs, four doubles and a home run…was a first team all-district selection from sophomore year through senior year.
 
Personal: Full name is Clayton Wayne Vaughn…born Sept. 25, 1992 in Houston…son of Robert and Annette Vaughn…has one older brother, Bobby, and two older sisters, Michelle and Krista…majoring in business.
