2017 (Junior): Jones appeared in 39 games, including 25 starts between first base and designated hitter…hit .216 with five doubles, three home runs, six RBIs and 11 runs…went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs against Fordham (2/18)…went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a 3-2 victory at 25^th-ranked Houston (2/21)…hit a solo home run against Rhode Island (2/26)…went 2-for-3 with a home run at Nicholls (3/17)…went 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run against Southeastern Louisiana (3/26)…went 2-for-4 and scored twice at Lamar (3/31)…hit a solo home run against Central Arkansas (4/8)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in 29 games, including nine starts, eight at first base and one at designated hitter...hit .250 with six doubles, a home run, eight RBIs and three runs…seven of his 12 hits went for extra bases…hit .385 against left-handed pitching…doubled in his only at-bat against Utah (3/5)…delivered a game-tying RBI double in the ninth inning of an eventual 3-2, 10-inning victory at Central Arkansas (3/26)…went 4-for-7 with two doubles, a home run, four RBIs and three runs at Prairie View A&M (4/26)…delivered a pinch-hit, bases-clearing double against Nicholls (5/6).
 
2015 (Freshman): Appeared in 13 games, including one start at first base...hit a three-run home run against Prairie View A&M (2/15).
 
High School: Was a two-year letterwinner at Cypress Ranch High School for Coach John Pope...as a senior, hit .337 with six home runs, nine doubles, a triple, 27 RBIs and 18 runs...posted a .411 on-base percentage and slugged .686...as a junior, hit .275 with two home runs, three doubles, nine RBIs and 18 runs...made the Honor Roll all four years.
 
Personal: Full name is Carey Allen Jones...born Sept. 14, 1995, in Houston...son of Michael and Donna Jones...has one brother, Curtis, who played baseball at HBU from 2012-15, was twice named Southland Conference Utility Player of the Year and was the 2015 SLC Tournament MVP...majoring in accounting.
