2014 (Junior): Martinez appeared and started 49 games, including 39 at second base...recorded 17 multiple-hit, including seven with three hits or more, and five multiple-RBI games…was third on the team with a .332 batting average and had six doubles, two triples, 22 RBIs and 25 runs…on the mound, made 17 relief appearances, going 2-0 with two saves, a 1.90 ERA, 19 strikeouts and nine walks in 23.2 innings…had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs in the season-opener against Prairie View A&M (2/14), then followed by going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs the next day…went 4-for-7 with a double and scored a pair of runs in the Huskies’ 7-5, 15-inning victory at Nicholls (3/15)…in the first game of a doubleheader at Southeastern Louisiana (3/29), went 4-for-5 and scored twice, then followed by going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks and three runs in the second game…in the three-game series at Oral Roberts, went 8-for-15 with four RBIs…hit safely in the last four games of the season…allowed just one hit in 2.2 innings to earn the win in a 4-3 victory over Prairie View A&M in the series finale (2/16)…tossed two scoreless innings to notch the save in an 8-5 win over Northeastern (2/22)…pitched a perfect inning and struck out one in a 4-2 win over Kansas (3/1)…threw two scoreless innings to record the win in a 6-5 victory over Stephen F. 2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in 39 games, including 31 starts – 27 at designated hitter and four on the infield…also made 18 appearances on the mound…hit safely in the last 13 games of the season…led the team with a .371 batting average and had four doubles, a triple, 24 RBIs, 17 runs, posted a .456 on-base percentage and struck out only six times…hit .413 with a .50 slugging percentage and a .491 on-base percentage in conference play…recorded 11 multiple-hit and five multiple-RBI games, including the Huskies’ only five RBI performance of the year…on the mound, went 1-1 with a 3.15 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 34.1 innings…went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs in the Huskies’ 13-3 victory over North Dakota in the championship game of the Great West Conference Tournament (5/25)…drove in a pair in the first-round win at NJIT (5/21)…went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs at Chicago State (5/11)…was 3-for-3 with a double, five RBIs and a walk against Harvard (3/22)…opened the season with three hits and an RBI against Nicholls State (2/15)…struck out a career-high five in two scoreless inning of relief in the Huskies win over North Dakota (5/23) to advance to the championship game of the Great West Conference Tournament…tossed two innings of perfect relief, striking out three, to earn the win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/16).

2012 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 games, including 16 starts – 15 at third base and one at designated hitter – and also made six relief appearances on the mound…hit .196 with four RBI and five runs…went 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA and four strikeouts in 12.0 innings…recorded two multiple-hit games…went 2-for-4 with a run in the second game of a doubleheader against Chicago State (4/6)…scored a pair of runs against Texas Southern (4/10)…went 2-for-4 with an RBI at Texas Southern (4/11)…allowed two runs, one earned, and struck out two in 4.1 innings of relief against Utah Valley (5/5).
High School: Four-year letterwinner and starter for coach Greg Bretz at Cypress Christian School…was a four-time all-district selection…was a two-time team MVP…earned all-state honors as a senior and runner-up all-state as a junior…named academic all-state as a junior and senior…once hit a home run from both sides of the plate in the same game.
