HOUSTON – HCU beach will host Mary Hardin-Baylor and Concordia (TX) this Tuesday at Third Coast Volleyball Club for a pair of duals and Senior Day with the Huskies' two matches set for 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The Huskies (4-19) dropped a trio of matches this past Friday in Austin at the Longhorn Showdown, falling to No. 3 Texas, No. 19 Washington and Tulane. The duo of
Grace Melnick and
Paige Palmer lead the Huskies with five wins, posting a record of 5-7 on Court 2.
UMHB (18-4) has won nine-straight matches and is led by the pairing of Saige De La Fuente and Kendall Harrington with a record of 13-1 on Courts 3, 4 and 5. The Crusaders have a win over Southland Conference opponent Nicholls, defeating the Colonels 4-1 in late February. Concordia (0-13), meanwhile, is in its first year as a program.
HCU travels to Birmingham, Ala. this Friday and Saturday, Apr. 10-11, for the UAB Blazer Beach Bash with matches against Tulane, Mercer, ULM and UAB.
