HOUSTON - HCU head women's soccer coach Nick Whiting announced hte hiring of Brady Schlesman to join his staff as associate head coach on Friday morning.

Schlesman arrives after serving the previous two seasons as the associate head coach at fellow Southland Conference member, Nicholls State University.
 
Schlesman played a pivotal role in rejuvenating Nicholls, guiding the team to the most conference points since 2017 and earning results in half of their conference games in 2025. He helped guide the program to the longest undefeated streak in conference play in school history. They also scored the most goals in a season since 2016 and had their most wins since 2017.
 
As the recruiting coordinator throughout his tenure at Nicholls, seven of his freshmen combined for 78 starts in 2025. All incoming players combined for 9,518 minutes for the season.
 
Schlesman previously served as both the assistant and interim head coach at Averett University in the 2023 season. Before Averett, he served as an analytics assistant for the women's soccer program at Virginia Tech during the 2022 season.
 
A native of Richmond, Virginia, playing for the Richmond Kickers academy system, Schlesman graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications (sports media and analytics).
