FORT WORTH, Texas – HCU beach suffered three losses on Friday at the TCU Invitational on a day that saw a revised schedule put the Huskies on the court three times.
Match one of the day saw the Huskies (1-10) fall against the sixth-ranked Horned Frogs (9-1), 5-0. At Court 3,
Grace Melnick and
Lauren Vickery fell in two sets (21-16, 21-16).
In dual two of the day, HCU fell to Southland Conference rival Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (5-5), 5-0. HCU was again strong at Court 3, this time with Melnick pairing with
Paige Palmer but doming up short in a three set matchup (21-13, 19-21, 17-15).
The third match of the day was a 5-0 loss to Florida Gulf Coast (6-5). The Huskies' duo of
Allie Patton and
Dariya Tlevlessova took their first set past 21 points but fell in two (23-21, 21-15).
HCU is set for another tough test next weekend, heading west to the Golden State for the Stanford Invitational with matchups set against Long Beach State, Stanford, North Florida and Washington.
