STANFORD, Calif. – The HCU beach volleyball team lost a pair of matches on Saturday at the Stanford Invitational, coming up short against No. 16 North Florida and No. 18 Washington.
HCU (1-14) first took on the Ospreys (10-6), falling by a 5-0 final. The Huskies' Court 5 pairing of
Emma Chappell and
Mycah Whittemore won their first set but ultimately fell in three (18-21, 21-13, 15-12). Washington then swept HCU, 5-0, with
Alexa Landmark and
Lauren Vickery falling, 21-16, 21-16, on Court 3.
The Huskies will travel to Youngsville, La. for the Southland Conference Mid-Season Tournament next weekend, Mar. 21-22, for five duals against SLC opponents.
