FRISCO, Texas – HCU junior right fielder
Rhett Hendricks has been selected second team all-Southland Conference for the 2025 season, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.
Hendricks finished out the regular season with a team-best .328 batting average while slugging .519. The junior ranks second on the team in both home runs (5) and RBI (30) while also scoring 22 runs and hitting eight doubles. His .405 on-base percentage also ranks second on the team.
In SLC play, Hendricks batted an impressive .358 to rank eighth in the conference while his .567 slugging percentage and .442 on-base percentage were both 10
th-best in the league. Over the course of the season, he failed to reach base safely in just five of the 38 games he started and boasted 12 multi-hit games along with an 11-game hitting streak.
Hendricks and the Huskies have assured themselves of finishing with the program's first winning record since 2017 and head into the SLC Tournament as the No. 6 seed with a first round matchup against Lamar on Thursday, May 15, at 1:00 p.m. in Edinburg, Texas.
