OZARK, Mo. – The HCU beach volleyball duo of
Alexa Landmark and
Olivia Zeigler won three matches at the 2025 AVCA Central Bid Qualifier to reach Saturday's final and earn a bid to the 2025 AVCA Pairs Championship in November.
Landmark and Zeigler opened play on Friday, Oct. 17, with a 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) win over McKendree's Brooke Junker and Natalie Witt. They then followed that up with a 2-1 (21-12, 19-21, 15-13) victory against Grace Austin and Jordyn Beneteau from Austin Peay. The Huskies then secured their bid to the Pairs Championship and the Central Qualifier title match with a 2-1 (21-15, 18-21, 15-10) triumph over Missouri State's Amanda Cleary and MacKenzie Steele.
The HCU pair will face Reagan McGee and Riley Rushing from UT Martin on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 12:00 p.m.
The AVCA Women's Pairs Championship is set for Nov. 7-9 in Huntsville, Ala. with 64 pairs vying for the title at the John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex.
