FRISCO, Texas – On Thursday morning the Southland Conference announced HCU's
Audrey Pearce and
Grace McLaughlin as members of the 2024 Volleyball Academic All-Conference team.
Pearce makes her second academic all-conference appearance after earning second team recognition in 2023. A four-time all-SLC performer during her career, Pearce closed out the 2024 season third in the conference in total blocks, with 125, and fourth in hitting percentage, hitting an impressive .358. Pearce finished her HCU career with 1,052 kills, 475 total blocks, 390 block assists and 85 solo blocks. She ranks fourth all-time at HCU in block assists, sixth in total blocks, 10
th in solo blocks and 12
th in kills.
McLaughlin, meanwhile, was named second team for the third-consecutive season. She closed the 2024 season third in the league with 9.54 assists per set while also adding 2.79 digs per set. McLaughlin has amassed 3,271 assists in three years on the court for the Huskies, ranking seventh in program history. Her 9.98 career assists per set is the sixth-best average all-time at HCU.
