FORT WORTH, Texas – HCU suffered a pair of losses on day two of the TCU Invitational, falling to Florida Gulf Coast and host TCU, the top-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday at the TCU Beach Volleyball Courts.
The Huskies (13-14) fell to Florida Gulf Coast (12-14), 4-1, with the team's lone point coming from the No. 2 position.
Lindsay Harris and
Kristen Kleymeyer earned a two-set win (21-17, 25-23) over Shelby Beisner and Dylan Brewer.
Undefeated TCU (28-0) then handed the Huskies a 5-0 defeat in the afternoon. Harris and Kleymeyer were the lone HCU pair to take their match to three sets before falling (21-15, 16-21, 15-12).
HCU closes out the regular season next weekend, Apr. 14-15, with four matches at the LSU Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, La.
