CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – HCU beach came out on the wrong end of a 4-1 decision on Saturday morning at Waters Edge Park, falling to the host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders.
The Islanders (17-8) locked up the dual win in the first three decisions of the day before the HCU (12-11) No. 2 pair of
Lindsay Harris and
Kristen Kleymeyer took their matchup to three sets but fell 22-20, 18-21, 15-12. The Huskies' No. 1 pair,
Maddie Butters and
Alison Stanfill, made it a perfect 3-0 weekend with a two-set, 21-17, 22-20, victory.
HCU is hitting the final stretch of the regular season and heads north to Fort Worth, Texas for four duals at the TCU Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 7-8.
