HCU is 40-31 all-time against UIW and looks to grow winning record this weekend.

San Antonio, Tx – The Huskies open conference play at Incarnate Word this weekend with a three-games series at Daniel Sullivan Field on Friday, March 24th through Sunday, March 26th.

HCU is 40-31 all-time against UIW and won all three games during the 2022 conference season, hosted at Husky Field The Huskies are 6-7 in San Antonio since 2015 with six of those losses being recorded in the last 10 matchups.

Junior outfielder Samuel Benjamin leads the way batting .369 on the season including 20 RBIs, 13 runs, and four doubles with multiple hits in three of his last four games for the Huskies (2-18). Redshirt junior Reed Chumley has recorded a hit all of his previous five games and multiple hits in three of those games, batting .310 average on the year with 10 runs, 10 RBIs, six doubles, and three home runs. Freshman outfielder Damian Ruiz is hitting .304 with a homerun, 11 RBIs, eight runs, and three doubles. Freshman outfielder Trent Baker is 7-for-17 (.412%) in his last four games with four runs, three stolen bases, two RBIs, a walk, and a double.
 
Hernan Yanez is hitting .368 with 15 runs, 15 RBIs, seven doubles, and a home run for the Cardinals (10-11). Alec Carr is batting .333 with 17 runs, 26 RBIs, six home runs, four triples, and two doubles while Rey Mendoza's batting average is .312 with 18 runs, 19 RBIs, two doubles, and two homeruns.
