Reed Chumley is coming off a great series against North Dakota State where he recorded a hit in every game and multiple hits in two of the three games batting .455 average (5-for-11) with three runs and a double.
Jose Gonzalez is hitting .385 with 20 runs, 29 RBIs, seven homeruns, and seven doubles for the Bobcats (13-6). Davis Powell is batting .378 with 14 runs, five RBIs, and six doubles while Daylan Pena batting average is .231 with 13 runs, 20 RBIs, four doubles, a triple, and five homeruns.
HCU is 1-16 against Texas State with the Huskies only win coming in their previous matchup on February, 19
th 2020 with a 7-5 victory.
HCU will open conference play with a three-game series against UIW scheduled for Friday, March 24
