BSB: Huskies Head to Abilene for Four-Game Series

HCU look to capture first win of the 2023 season in Abilene, TX.

ABILENE, Texas. - HCU hits the road to face Abilene Christian University in a four-game series Friday through Sunday at Crutcher Scott Field in Abilene, Tx.
 
Junior outfielder Samuel Benjamin is hitting .333 for the season with a home run, five RBIs and eight runs for the Huskies (0-8), while senior outfielder Logan Letney is hitting .333 with a double, an RBI, five hits, and four walks. Senior outfielder/infielder Austin Roccaforte is batting .300 with five runs, four RBIs, and eight walks. Redshirt junior infielder Reed Chumley is batting .308 with five RBIs, three doubles, and a homerun.
 
The Huskies are expected to start righthanders Rye Gunter (0-1, 5.59 ERA), Walker Zander (0-2, 9.00 ERA), Matthew Charles (2.08 ERA), and Baylor Baumann (0-1, 5.68 ERA).
 
Logan Britt leads the Wildcats (7-2), hitting .457 with seven runs, five RBIs, a double, a triple, and a homerun, while Maddox Miesse is hitting .360 with nine hits, eight RBIs, a double, a triple, and a homerun. Bash Randle has homered twice and driven in three for the year, while Garrett Williams has seven RBIs on 11 hits for ACU.
