NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The HCU women's basketball team close out their two game Southland Conference road trip with their second matchup in three games against the New Orleans Privateers. Tipoff is at 2 pm inside Lakefront Arena.

The Huskies (6-7, 1-1 SLC) are coming off their first conference loss of the season against the SLU Lions. The Huskies fell behind by 24 in the first half. The second half saw the Huskies storm all the way back and get within one possession with a chance to win in the final minute of the game.
New Orleans (2-9, 1-1 SLC) lost their first game of the conference schedule to the Huskies in Sharp Gym. They responded by dominating the Lamar Cardinals 68-46 Thursday night.
Last week the Huskies and Privateers faced off in Sharp Gym. New Orleans tied the game in the first few minutes of the game before the Huskies took over and lead the remainder of the game.
Julija Vujakovic led all scorers with 18 points on seven-of-eight shooting from the foul line.
Marilyn Nzoiwu, who never exited the floor, posted her second double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Kyla Davis led four Privateers in double figures with 12 points off of the bench on four-of-nine shooting. Nahja Scott dropped in 11 points in just 19 minutes of game time. Zoe Cooper reeled in a team high eight boards.
HCU returns home Thursday night to host the newest member of the Southland, Texas A&M-Commerce at 5 pm in Sharp Gym.
