SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – HBU (8-5) battled hard against Valparaiso but came up short losing today's match 3-0 at the UTSA Invitational (21-25, 22-25, 20-25).

Senior outsider hitter Anna Gadway had 15 kills, 7 digs as well as 15.5 points. Junior outside hitter Sara Arroyo added 10 points to the Huskies' total, along with 8 kills and 5 digs. Senior Jada Allen totaled 6 kills, 1 dig and 6.5 points for the Huskies, while Redshirt freshman Grace McLaughlin recorded 23 assists and 12 digs.

Miranda Strongman led Valparaiso with 10 kills and 11.5 points. Mallory Januski contributed 9.5 points and 8 kills while Addy Kois recorded 24 assists and 6 digs.

The Huskies return to Sharp Gym to open conference play against the Lady Lions of Southeastern Louisiana this Thursday, September 22nd at 6:30pm. Live stream of the game will be available on ESPN+.
