The Huskies beat Southeastern in Sharp Gym
HOUSTON, TEXAS – HCU opened the Southland Conference season in dominating fashion, beating the Lady Lions of Southeastern in three straight sets (25-23, 25-23, 25-19). "Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022."
Senior outside hitter
Anna Gadway led the Huskies recording 13 kills, one block, and two digs. Senior middle blocker
Jada Allen had eight kills, one assist, and one block while freshman defensive specialist
Hazel Allen led defensively with 14 digs. Redshirt freshman Grace McLauglin dished out 19 assists along with four digs, while freshman setter
Mollee Henicke added 17 assists and four digs. Senior libero
Kaley Feris recorded 13 digs and one assist.
Kailin Newsome led the Lady Lions with 12 kills, ten digs, and one block. Gracie Duplechein dished out 14 assists along with four digs.
The Huskies return to action on Saturday, September 24th at 11 a.m. in Sharp Gym hosting the Lady Colonels of Nicholls.
