FORT WORTH, Texas – The HBU beach volleyball team fell to No. 9 Stanford and No. 16 Pepperdine on the opening day of the TCU Invitational Friday afternoon at the TCU Beach Volleyball Courts.
 
The Huskies (10-19) took the No. 3 and No. 4 matches to three sets in both contests, with senior Brennan Miller and sophomore Mary Alper dropping 21-19, third-set decisions in both of their matches at the four spot.
