BATON ROUGE, La. – The HBU beach volleyball team will take on Southland Conference rival Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, before facing three Top-10 opponents in the LSU Beach Invitational Saturday and Sunday at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium.
 
The Huskies and Islanders square off Saturday at 10 a.m., then HBU battles No. 2 TCU at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the Huskies face No. 4 Florida State at 1 p.m., before wrapping up the event against No. 6 LSU at 3 p.m.
 
HBU (8-10) is coming off a 3-2 victory over CSU Bakersfield Tuesday in Los Angeles. Junior Lauren Huggins and sophomore Alison Stanfill have played the last three matches at No. 1 and are 7-11 overall this year, while senior Brennan Miller and junior Maddie Butters are 6-12 at the one and two positions. Juniors Lindsay Harris and Kristen Kleymeyer have played every match at No. 3 and sport a 9-9 mark.
