HOUSTON – HBU men's soccer head coach
Ryan Pratt announced the signing of Sam Zeeman to the soccer program Tuesday afternoon.
Zeeman, a native of Rotterdam, Netherlands, is transferring from Segbroek College, The Hague, Zuid-Holland. He played club soccer for Ado Den Haag before making the switch over to HV and CV Quick. He has helped his teams to several big wins as their captain against major club teams including Juventus, Chelsea, and Dortmund.
Zeeman was born to his parents Marco and Barbara Zeeman. He looks forward to attending HBU to move forward in his academic and soccer career. He looks forward to the travel opportunities that are provided as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. While on campus he plans on majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies
"Sam is a very talented central defender. He's athletic, reads the game very well, deals with the space in behind and in the channels, and is a very good one-on-one defender," Pratt said. "He also possesses the technical ability that fits and will enhance our style of play. We can't wait to see the impact he will have within our program and are very excited to have him joining us at HBU."
