HOUSTON – After playing the last five matches away from home, the HBU women's soccer team is set to host a pair of Southland Conference opponents, Southeastern and Nicholls, this Thursday and Sunday but the matchup with the Lady Lions on Thursday has been moved to Campbell Road Sports Park with Sunday's game still set to be played at Sorrels Field at 1:00 p.m.
The game against Southeastern (1-5, 0-2 SLC), in addition to changing locations, will now be played at 2:00 p.m.
HBU (0-5-2, 0-0-1 SLC) earned a pair of 1-1 draws last weekend, including in a road matchup against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to pick up a point in the standings. The Huskies then tied UTSA in San Antonio on Sunday, 1-1.
Senior goalkeeper
Karla Ramirez was strong in goal for the Huskies on the weekend, totaling 16 saves over two games with a career-high nine against the Islanders. The Huskies' goals on the weekend came from senior

The Lady Lions have dropped three-straight after an 11-0 home win over Alcorn State. Last weekend, SLU lost a pair of conference road matchups by identical 1-0 finals at Northwestern State and McNeese. Last season's conference Newcomer of the Year, junior Makenzie Maher, leads the team with three goals for six points. In goal, senior Nadine Maher has played the lion's share of minutes and boasts a save percentage of .750 and a goals against average of 1.89.
Nicholls (0-5, 0-2 SLC) has yet to find the goal this season in five road games. The Colonels opened SLC play with road losses at McNeese, 0-2, and Northwestern State, 0-4, this past weekend. Senior Rami Mitchell has been the most active offensive threat, leading the team in shot attempts, while sophomore Reagan Carter has seen the majority of time in goal and sports a .647 save percentage. Nicholls travels to Alcorn State on Friday, Sep. 17, before heading to Houston for Sunday's match.
The Huskies own a 7-2-2 all-time record against the Lady Lions with Southeastern winning the last two meetings. Versus Nicholls, HBU is 8-1-0 all-time and has won the last seven contests in the series.
Following this weekend, the Huskies will remain at home to host McNeese on Thursday, Sep. 23, at 7:00 p.m.
