NACOGDOCHES, Texas – After going extra innings for the second time this weekend, Huskies fall, 1-0 after a ninth inning walk off double from the Ladyjacks in the game three conclusion of the final Southland Conference regular season series on Saturday afternoon.

Redshirt freshman Shelby Echols led going 2-for-3 for HBU (22-16, 15-12 SLC) while sophomore Autumn Sydlik went 1-for-2. Sophomore Sarah Venker went 1-for-3 and sophomore Caitlyn Brockway went 1-for-4.

Senior Jessica Patak took the loss in the circle throwing 8.2 innings giving up one run on six hits while striking out four.

Marisa Arriaga nailed a double into left field to bring in the game winning run, going 2-for-4 for the Ladyjacks (34-11, 25-2 SLC) while four other Ladyjacks got a hit on the game.

Kassidy Wilbur (29-4) threw the complete game shutout giving up five hits and a pair of walks while striking out 10.

Camryn Middlebrooke got a base hit to start the ninth inning. With two outs, Arriaga sealed the regular season champs series win with the walk off double to left field.

HBU will return to action Tuesday, May 11 as they begin their journey in the 2021 Southland Conference Tournament in Hammond, Louisiana.
