HOUSTON – HBU men's soccer hosts UT Rio Grande Valley as they head into the final three games of the season. The teams will face off at Sorrels Field at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31. 

HBU (0-6-2,0-6-1 WAC) has four goals on the season from four different Huskies. Luis Poblacion has a goal on the season and leads the team with eight shots on goal. Gianluca Natera also adds a goal on the season with seven shots on goal. Bryant Farkarlun has a goal with five shots on goal and Alex Reyes adds a goal with one assist and three shots on goal. Gustavo Otero made his first appearance as a Husky against Dixie State and started again UIW totaling 11 saves. JP Becerra led in the goal for the Huskies in the first six games totaling 27 saves on the season.  

UTRGV (4-0-2) currently stand second in the WAC conference. William Akio leads the team and the conference with six goals on the season with an added 12 shots on goal and one assist. Reshaun Walkes follows behind with four goals and six shots on goal. Trevor Schnieder looks to start in the goal for the team with the second best save percentage in the conference with .871 with 27 saves and only four goals against him.  

The Huskies will remain at home when they see action next as they host Utah State for a 7 p.m. matchup on Monday, April 5.
