NATCHITOCHES, LA – The Huskies look to earn their first Southland Conference road win on Saturday matinee tip-off at the Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches, Louisiana to face the Northwestern State Demons. The teams last met in early January just before HBU went on a three-week postponement earning their first conference win against the Demons, 82-56.  
HBU (6-5, 2-2 SLC) come into the matchup after a tough 88-57 loss to Sam Houston State. When the Huskies last saw the Demons, they were led by Timia Jefferson with 16 points and N'Denasija Collins just behind with 14 points and seven rebounds. Kennedy Wilson posted 11 points and Marilyn Nzoiwu led with eight rebounds with and added six points. The Huskies went 46.7 percent from the field and 87 percent from the line.  
NSU (0-12, 0-7 SLC) has struggled to capture a win this season and are back home to host after a 39-71 loss to Central Arkansas. During the last meet up with the Huskies, the Demons were led by Kalen green with 15 points and Julia Sion with 10. The team went 35.3 percent from the field, 56.3 percent from the line and shot 11-for-25 from the three-point line.  
The Huskies will see action next when they return home to host Abilene Christian on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6:30 in Sharp Gym.
