HBU Huskies (8-8,4-5 SLC) vs. McNeese Cowgirls (6-11,6-4 SLC)

HOUSTON – The HBU women's basketball team will host the McNeese Cowgirls with just four games remaining in SLC play. The Huskies just recently faced off with McNeese on Monday, Feb. 22 with a Cowgirl 73-55 victory in Lake Charles. Tip-off for Saturday, Feb. 27 is scheduled for NOON and will be broadcasted on the Husky Sports Network.
HBU (8-8,4-5 SLC) was led in the last meetup by N'Denasija Collins with 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Timia Jefferson followed closely behind with 11 points adding four rebounds and career high seven steals. Kennedy Wilson wrapped up the double digits with her added 10 points. Patience Idoko added six points and five rebounds from the bench. HBU is currently shooting .386 from the field and .716 from the line. The Huskies average 37.8 rebounds per game and 66.8 points per game.
McNeese (6-11,6-4 SLC) was led by five Cowgirls with double figures. Lizzy Ratcliff led with 17 points and six rebounds with Le'Shenae Stubblefield close behind with 16 points and four rebounds adding three steals. Kyla Hamilton contributed 13 points with six assists while Claralee Richard added 11. Divine Tanks wrapped up the leaders with 10 points and nine rebounds.
HBU will quickly turn around for a trip to Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Monday, March 1 at 7 p.m. to being the final week of regular season play.
