HBU Huskies vs. Lamar Cardinals

BEAUMONT, TX – The Huskies will head to Beaumont, Texas to face off with the Lamar Cardinals on Saturday, Feb. 13 with a 2 p.m. tip-off for their second matchup of the season. HBU last saw Lamar in Sharp Gym after their 25-hiatus due to COVID-19 protocols on Jan. 27, resulting in a nail-biting 66-61 Cardinal victory. 

HBU (7-6,3-3 SLC) was led by junior Julija Vujakovic with 13 points with Timia Jefferson close behind with 12 points. N'Denasija Collins has a double-double on the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Vujakovic averages 9.7 points per game and leads the Huskies at the three-point line averaging 36.5 percent. Jefferson leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game while Collins is second in scoring and rebounding with 10.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.  

Lamar (5-11,4-4 SLC) was led by Sabria Dean with 18 points, averaging 6.6 points per game, and a big night from the team leading scorer and rebounder Micaela Wilson with 17 points and 11 rebounds as she averages 11.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game on the season.  

The Huskies will return home for a quick turnaround to face Incarnate Word in Sharp Gym on Monday, Feb. 15 for a 5 p.m. tip-off.
