NORMAN, Okla. – HBU will wrap up a three-game road stretch on Wednesday evening with a pre-Thanksgiving men's basketball matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Center at 7:00 p.m.. Husky fans can listen to the Husky Sports Network audio broadcast with Garrett Jones on play-by-play, available at HBUHuskies.com and the game will also be shown on Bally Sports Oklahoma.
 
HBU (1-3) heads into Wednesday's matchup led in scoring by sophomore Brycen Long who is averaging 10.7 points per game and shooting a blistering 50 percent (10-of-20) from three. Darius Lee, meanwhile, ranks 23rd nationally in offensive rebounds per game with 3.75 per game and his 9.3 rpg is 45th best. He also leads the Huskies with eight steals, is tied for the team lead with 11 assists and four blocked shots and is second on the team at 10.3 ppg.
 
The Huskies dropped their last outing at Denver on Sunday, 74-61, after leading at the half before the host Pioneers shot 54 percent from the floor in the second half to pull away. Lee had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss while Zach Iyeyemi scored a team-best 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor.
 
The Sooners (4-1) suffered their first loss of the season this past Sunday, falling to Utah State in the Myrtle Beach Invitational championship game, 73-70. Senior forward Tanner Groves led the Sooners with 18 points while senior guard Umoja Gibson added 16.
 
Oklahoma is averaging 81.8 points per game this season and shooting 51.8 percent as a team. Defensively, the Sooners are holding opponents to just 25.8 percent from beyond the arc. Groves, a 6-10 transfer from Eastern Washington, leads OU with 18 ppg and is shooting 58.1 percent (36-of-62) from the floor. Gibson is scoring 12.6 ppg while junior Jalen Hill leads the team with 7.8 rpg and is adding 9.4 ppg.
 
The Huskies and Sooners met in Norman last season with OU earning an 84-65 win. The Huskies trailed by just three at the half in that game with Lee scoring a team-high 15 off the bench while Za-Ontay Boothman finished with 13.
 
After playing four of the first five games of the season on the road, the Huskies will play the next four, and five of the next six, inside Sharp Gym beginning Monday, Nov. 29, against Southwestern Adventist at 7:00 p.m.
